The ethos of the Dolby Gang is to “Fill Ya Boots With Country” and spread enjoyment and pleasure of country music to both current and next generation fans to keep the music LIVE!! we believe it doesn’t have to be from a certain age or a certain style to be good, if it sounds good, it is good, as long as it’s a country song! we hope you will enjoy our “take” on some of Country’s finest

The Dolby Gang is a live band and depending on event we can either be a 4 or 5 piece, with guitars, pedal steel, ‘doghouse’ bass, drums (or cajon), lead and harmony vocals. Our roots are firmly planted in country music and we draw our influences from across the whole spectrum of the genre that gives the Dolby Gang it’s own style and sound.

We formed after the covid pandemic from a bunch of seasoned & experienced musicians having played country for years so essentially the love of the music brought us together, plus we are relatively close to each other in the East Midlands

Our country style ranges quite a bit from traditional to modern, however we seem to really like a modern honky tonk style of playing. We started off playing covers but are now introducing our own into the mix. What we found interesting after we got going was we have 3 song writers in the group, each with their own style, so for the initial CD we decided to include 1 from each. Moving forward we will probably add a lot more (as we already have enough material for another couple of original albums).

We have a self-contained, pa, lights and are ready to play, clubs, festivals, stampede’s, and any gatherings wherever in the UK. Check out our video’s to see our style and what we do.
